Team Cairdean will be riding (not racing) again this year in the annual Tour de Cure to benefit the American Diabetes Association. Please join our team and participate in the event or donate to our fundraising efforts to help advance the research to stop diabetes.
Team Cairdean has begun training on Sundays by riding along Silverado Trail and Hwy 29 in picturesque Napa Valley. Last Sunday Edwin, Maddy and myself rode 15 miles from Calistoga to St. Helena and back. This Sunday (weather permitting) we plan on adding 5 miles to our ride and each week thereafter adding to it to prepare for the Tour de Cure on Sunday May 4th. Please join our team and train with us as we gear up to ride in either the 25 or 50 mile tours – how good we get during our training will determine which ride we participate in! For the tour they have 10, 25, 50 or 100 mile routes with rest stops and sustenance along the way. A $35 admission ticket covers the cost of roadside assistance and lunch with live music at the finish line. A minimum fundraising effort of $250 is required.
If you are not a rider, please help us raise funds and cheer us on as we bike the gentle rolling hills. We will also be pouring Cairdean wines in the wine tent at the finish line so please grab a glass and come say hello; we can’t wait to see you there!
